Art Journaling pg 1

It has been quite awhile since I have posted anything, and although I have been doing art since then and now, this is the first thing that I have done that I have gotten around to scanning in. Also the most recent thing that I have done. I have taken up a new trade of making journals and finally, art journalling itself. This is from my doodle journal, I'm probably just going to make this my main journal since it just feels so much freer to make art in something labelled "doodle" journal.

I have begun a daily challenge/ prompt in order to make one piece of art a day, starting sometime between the recent past and now. This challenge is on dreaming. This is my awakened dream.

Self Reflections Have Everything to do With You and You and You and Me

We are a reflection of everything around us. We are alive because we are supported by our subconscious... God, Universe/ Brahman, etc. Continue to ward off evil, and produce good in all directions. Allow growth of new and death of old... change. Pay attention to your feelings and to the subtleties in the world. These things are most important. Allow yourself to not only see in a logical, literal way, for balance comes from the polarity of two anythings. See literally and metaphorically, and your own self will give you the answers that you are needing, either through others and your surroundings, and through yourself as well.

Incoming Mail Art from C. Mehrl Bennett

We received this postcard in return, a few months back, after sending some mail her way. Very beautifully done, and she even played with images that we sent her, by copying the style. Naturally, we were confused. However, Mudhead and I always love a good think-piece, and were very impressed with the strangeness of it.

Outgoing Mail Art to Theirry Tiller

Outgoing mail art in response to Tiller's mail art call, "Museum/ Mail Art/ No Museum".

Collaboration with the all-talented Mudhead Reynolds. This Mister Tiller is one lucky guy!
Mudhead's all-famous mudhead and an Alyssum erotic something or other.

Incoming Mail Art from Taradactyl: Dactyl Life

After sending some mail art her way, Miss Tara Dactyl sent us some back, responding our mail art call, "Good Magic". It is clearly apparent that much work was put into this piece, with lots of heart.
Front cover

Back cover

These are some of the trinkets found inside, either handmade, or with magazine and a book cutout about the history of magic.
A thank you note, as well as a neato reptilian postcard, which shall be added to my weird postcard collection for further inquiries.

Here is a link to her site, if you would like to send this rad lady some mail art of your own, or to simply give her blog some love:

Post Teen Angst Comic Teasers

Comics were my "secret journal" for a long time. They were how I honed in on some mad art skills in and stayed functional. Here are some samples from longer stories.
